Edgar S. Cahn developed time banking where an hour of work is worth an hour of work, regardless of whether you are a surgeon or home health care worker. This is the premise of time banks – where members connect to exchange services based on time without the use of money. It is creating an economy of generosity and value for most of the unpaid work that is undervalued in the market economy.
